LOLA Platform – Safe-Life
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the LOLA platform, mobile application, and website (lolaapp.com.au) operated by Alerting Devices Australia Pty Ltd trading as Safe-Life (“Safe-Life”, “we”, “our”, “us”).
By creating an account or using the LOLA platform, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. About the LOLA Platform
LOLA (Loved Ones Living Alone) is a monitoring platform designed to allow users to monitor connected safety devices such as sensors, alarms, and gateways installed in a residence or care environment.
The system may provide alerts, notifications, device status updates, and communication features to assist caregivers and family members in monitoring the safety of individuals.
LOLA is designed as a support tool only and must not be relied upon as a substitute for supervision, medical care, or emergency response services.
2. User Accounts
To use the LOLA platform you may be required to create an account.
You agree that:
- the information you provide is accurate and current
- you will maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
- you are responsible for all activity under your account
Safe-Life may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the platform.
3. System Operation and Limitations
The LOLA platform relies on a combination of:
- connected devices and sensors
- internet connectivity
- cloud services
- mobile device notifications
Safe-Life cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation of the service.
Alerts or notifications may be affected by factors including:
- internet outages
- mobile device settings
- battery failure of sensors
- gateway connectivity issues
- third-party service interruptions
Users are responsible for ensuring devices are installed, maintained, and tested regularly.
4. Not a Life-Saving Device
The LOLA platform and associated devices are not life-saving devices and are not intended to replace emergency services or professional care.
Safe-Life accepts no liability for injury, loss of life, property damage, or other losses resulting from the failure of a device, alert, or system notification.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Access to certain LOLA services may require a paid subscription.
Subscriptions may include features such as:
- cloud monitoring services
- device connectivity
- alert notifications
- system management features
Subscriptions are billed in advance of the applicable service period.
Payment processing is handled by third-party providers (such as Stripe). Safe-Life does not store full payment card details.
6. Cancellation
Subscriptions may be cancelled by the account holder at any time.
Unless otherwise stated:
- cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period
- no partial refunds are provided for unused subscription periods
Safe-Life reserves the right to suspend services where payment is overdue.
7. Service Changes
Safe-Life may update, modify, or discontinue features of the LOLA platform at any time.
Where possible, reasonable notice will be provided for significant service changes.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, software, branding, and materials relating to the LOLA platform are the property of Safe-Life or its licensors.
Users may not:
- copy or reproduce platform content
- reverse engineer software
- use the platform for unlawful purposes
9. Acceptable Use
Users agree not to:
- misuse the platform
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems
- interfere with the operation of the service
- use the platform for unlawful or harmful activities
Safe-Life may suspend accounts involved in misuse.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Safe-Life is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of the LOLA platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
11. Privacy
Safe-Life collects and manages personal information in accordance with the LOLA Privacy Policy available at:

12. Third-Party Services
The LOLA platform may rely on third-party service providers including:
- cloud infrastructure providers
- payment processors
- notification services
Safe-Life is not responsible for the performance or availability of these third-party services.
13. Changes to These Terms
Safe-Life may update these Terms from time to time.
Updated Terms will be published on the LOLA website and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
Any disputes relating to these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
