We Built Lola Because We Couldn’t Find What We Needed

Welcome to LOLA, a proud project of Alerting Devices Australia Pty Ltd (Safe-Life). ABN 67 637 195 941

Safe-Life has spent years working with families, home care providers, and disability support organisations across Australia. In that time, one problem kept coming up: the gap between a person living independently and the moment someone realises they need help is too wide, and too dangerous.

Existing solutions were either too intrusive — cameras, constant check-in calls — or too passive — a pendant that only works if someone remembers to press it. Families were left carrying a background worry they couldn’t put down. Carers were managing risk with incomplete information.

Lola is our answer to that gap.

It’s a discreet network of sensors that monitors what’s happening in the home and reaches out when something needs attention — a fall, an unanswered emergency button, no movement by a certain time. It doesn’t watch. It doesn’t listen. It simply pays quiet attention so the people who matter most don’t have to do it alone.

We’re based in Mordialloc, Victoria, and we’re a registered NDIS provider. Every decision we make – about which sensors we include, how alerts are structured, how the system installs – is shaped by real conversations with the families and care teams who’ll actually use it.

Lola is launching in the coming months. If you’re caring for someone who lives alone, we’d love to hear from you.
